Våra barns klimat – (Not) for children

The current climate policies of the Swedish government are not nearly enough to keep the global temperature rise below 1,5 degrees Celsius (as agreed in the Paris agreement). Våra barns klimat (Our Kids’ Climate) is an organisation consisting of parents who are actively trying to change just that, for all our children’s sake. In order to get more people involved in the movement, we made this movie. First we asked kids some basic questions about animals and nature, followed by a really tricky one about the Swedish government’s inadequate climate policies. When none of the kids could answer the latter, the whole reason for Våra barns klimat existing was pointed out – while the issue of climate change is mainly going to affect our children and their future, it’s up to us adults to solve it.
